General Mathematics’ major domains are Number and algebra,
Measurement and geometry, Statistics, and Networks and matrices, building on
the content of the P–10 Australian Curriculum.
What will students learn?
In studying General Mathematics, students will learn about:
- money, measurement and relations
- applied trigonometry, algebra,
matrices and univariate data
- bivariate data, sequences and
change, and Earth geometry
- investing and networking.
How will students be assessed?
Students will complete the following assessments:
- problem-solving and modelling
task (20%)
- examination (15%)
- examination (15%)
- examination (50%).
